Hi, I am Rachael Cooper and I am the Managing Director at Centaur Housing Association.
I have worked in the Supported Living Sector since 2001, beginning my career as a Support Worker, directly providing Personal care and support to individuals in their own home. The remainder of my experience has been in Housing Management roles, which have included Administration Assistant, Housing Officer, Senior Housing officer, Housing Manager, Operations Director and now Managing Director at Centaur Housing.
This experience has certainly helped me fully appreciate the importance of each and every role within a Housing Management team and the part each person contributes to providing the essential services needed by our tenants.
My main focus is to ensure that the services we provide are efficient and effective in meeting the accommodation needs of individuals with very individual specific needs, ensuring tenants are the absolute main focus of the business.
I love my job and find my role to be extremely rewarding. I am very grateful to work with similar minded people who all strive to help others achieve their potential and a fulfilled life.
Outside of work I love spending time with my two grandchildren, mainly outside at the park or camping in our Campervan. I am very social and have a wide network of friends and family who I enjoy spending time with, often going to various types of festivals and gatherings.
